Although the vast majority of our mediations have been face to face, there have always been situations that have made that impossible which is why South West Mediation have been offering online mediations for a number of years. Now that we’re facing the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, we are conducting all our MIAM meetings and mediation sessions online using videoconferencing.

How does it work?

It’s really simple. Just make contact with us in the normal way by telephone or email and we’ll fix a one to one information meeting with one of our mediators in whatever way suits you – whether it’s Zoom, WhatsApp, Facetime, Skype or telephone. That’s it. If you decide to proceed with mediation and the other person also wants to, we’ll organise the mediation meetings in the most appropriate way. Just like ordinary mediations, with our videoconferencing expertise, they can take place with you and other participant in the same virtual room or in separate virtual rooms so you don’t have to see each other. You don’t have to have any special equipment – just a computer or tablet or even a smart phone. We can send you the necessary link by email so we’re able to run the mediations in a way that’s going to maximise the likelihood of a successful outcome for you both. With years of mediation experience within our team, you can rest assured you’ll be in good hands.
